Has anybody used both the SD8 and the 1508? Wondering what the main performance differences are. There is a $60 price difference between the two, so is the DD worth the extra?

I had some 1508's never used them unfortunately, I'm going to be building a box in a week or so for SD8's and I'll post how they do. I've heard that there actually isn't much of a difference between the SD8's and the 1508's and that's from experienced people who have worked with both subs. Even though the magnets on the SD8's look similar to the 1008a's I think, imo, that they will do just as well as the 1508's, but again I've never worked with them so I can't tell you for sure.

Kool man, let me know how they perform when you get a chance. The magnet is a little bigger on the DD. The DD is 100oz. and the AQ is 80oz.
