Anyone? How would these compare to something like a kicker comp?

do you already have the fosgate amp? personally, if you want to go with AQ, but dont want to step up to the hdc3's or 4's, i would throw a lil extra coin into getting the 2.5's... the 2" voice coil on the 2.0's doesnt take abuse too well (not as well as the 2.5's anyways). how much space are you looking at for your enclosure, and what type of enclosure are you thinking?

Yes, I have the RF amp, its an old school one, not one of the new craptastic ones
Space- eh as much as needed, honestly. I dont drive the vehicle, im just bored and figured id build something. Ported enclosure. Its not set in stone to run that amp, I can buy new, if needed, Im just thinking, after years of running Mt's, tc5200/5400,s etc That id like to try low power, more cone area approach. Thanks for the input, and I look forward to more!

if you're looking for cone area, and want to try out AQ, i would dish out the extra coin for the 2.5's .... alot more robust than the 2.0's

also, you may want to look at ssa dcon's, IA 187's, or if you want to flip a lil more coin some SA-12's... all are very capable subs... but with your price range for each sub, the dcon is probably closest.... just giving you some more options

i'm running 2 10's off a memphis 1000d... and they love it.... they're just in a temp set up right now, until i can finish fiberglassing the rest of her trunk... but they still sound great
SDC 2.5's are very solid for the $$$. I ran 2 12's for a while, did a 142 the only time I metered them off an AQ1200. Sounded very good on all types of music. I've also built a few set ups with 2 15" SDC's and they slammed on the lows...

When I tested the 2.0 line I was a little disappointed. Perhaps I just had my hopes a little high, but as it was I was not exactly happy with the performance.
They do not like anything over rated power and they have very limited performance. I suppose I could have been a bit harsh on how I viewed them as I was just fresh off playing with a hdc4 at the time lol.... the 2.5 is leaps and bounds better then the 2.0.
However, with your power I think you be better off with other subs on the market today.

yea, like i said... you would probably be happier with the dcons, over 2.0's
