Audioque or Sundown

Meter don't mean as much to me as to the ear //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gifAnd I agree it is kind of apples to oranges but don't hurt to throw it out there. The sundown 1200 is very underrated like the 1500 and according to jacobs test does 1500+.

Like I said they are both nice, and just giving me opinion //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
Problem with that is the placebo effect. You made a change, added new equipment, whatever, so you perceive it to sound better whether it does or not //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

SAE-1200 does NOT do 1500+ in a daily driver situation, but it's a strong amp for the $$$, especially the refurb price.

LOL...not sure where he's getting his info //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif
Does it say anything about made in the US on their website. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

This. Maybe coming from you will make that point more apparent.

Yea I believe the placebo effectcould be possible, and I guess another guy could think that to but here is what he said,

tristan560

I can vouch for that....definitely worth the switch...MUCH louder...Very impressive.

Not that it even matters, but still //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif

Hello,
I will be powering a single AA Havoc 15" sub and PPI 6.5 356CS component speakers and was considering the follwing amps:

SAE-1200D/SAZ1000D

SAZ-125.2

or

AQ1200D

AQ4X90[/quote

the Aq setup will be cheaper, but i don't think the Aq1200 is as strong as the Sae-1200. plus the Sae 1200 V2 has a new layout and better a board, with thicker traces to resist vibrations. Either way you can't go wrong

Its not that great unless he gets in line for a V.2, He would have to wire to half ohm and hope box rise stays under 1 ohm to see that power.
You may be surprised... from my recent testing of the 1200D :

1 ohm nominal @ 60 Hz

1440 Watts

54.6 V

26.4 A

2.07 ohms

Right at the 1500 mark @ 1 nominal with a 200% rise. Not bad.

This design runs a pretty high voltage rail so produces good power after impedance rise.

When will the version 2's be ready for shipment?
They have been delayed from my original ETA of end of November. There were delays getting the brand of capacitors I wanted (CapXOn) as they are not the usual brand used by the factory. I have been told I should have them around the end of December.

I hate to see a delay that long but unfortunately it appears to be the case.
