Audioque HD3 15?

I was just looking at these monsters and it says the RMS is 1000 and 2000 peak. However they look like the DD 9500's so i was just wondering how much power these things really need to get full potential. It will be for daily use in a ported box. If anyone has any experience or has tested these what would be a good amount of power to give it continuous for Daily driving?

Yes, a single 2500d Orion will power the two HD15's. They'll get loud as hell with that much power. Concentrate on a really efficient box for what you plan on playing and that'll give you the ability to keep the amp turned down to give you the same result and not stress anything. Hope you have a good charging system and voltage stabilization bank. The Audio Que manufacturer demo vehicle has a 600w amp on each of two HD10's. It gets damt loud.

Most people look at the Audioque HD's and assume it needs a lot of power. In fact the HD's get very loud on as little as 500 watts. Our demo truck has two DD SS1's rated at 600 watts each and gets very loud. We run the low power amps to demonstrate how little power is needed.

We also run then with two DD Z1's (3000 watts each) as a daily driver to demonstrate how much power they can take. We have had the same two HD10's in the truck for over three years.

like i said, they can take gobs of power.

if you wanted, the pair of 2500D's would work fine. or the single would work well (assuming you buy knowing the coil configs ect ect)

if you have the two amps arelady? sure, use em both. you might wanna compete SPL sometime. if not, then just get one. not a hard choice my friend //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

just build a nice box. thats the biggest thing i can recommend. a kid near me has a pair of hd3 10's and competes and is doing almost 50's in his neon with a pair of 2500d's. they are very capable subs.
