this has been talked about many times you can do a search for all this info. but no, Audioque's creator/owner used to work with DD

Well DD's build house does build the AQ stuff , but there is no offical corporate connection, there is a family connection though DJ and Jassa are related, but Digital Designs does use better parts , and a better design

They are a lot closer than some think.

Order a AQ amp or any product see if it is not in a DD packaged box.

And AQ owner is father of DD owner

Just because they are close does not make them the same.

Back when they were both built in the same place you could say they were closer to being DD.

no, many times DJ has said that the alums are made in house

Nowhere near the same in product quality either... DD is pretty high up there in quality parts and options. But the only thing that ties them 2 together is the Jassa family relatives

exactly.. All aluminum coils are hand made in usa.. For those saying they arent similar at all, they have mistaken.. The hdcs are very very very similar to the 9500s. I got very similar results from straight drop in tests. The dd does have better cooling, and does have some slightly better parts, and it does offer much better cones with the composite options, but the hdcs are no slouch. Its much closer than you think, but dd is definately built a little better.
