should i run my 2 12" kicker l7's on a audioque 2200watt amp

http://www.audioque.com/aq/AQamps2200D.htm

or a kicker ZX1500watt amp. i havent bought the kickers so if i got the audioque i'd get them at dual 4ohms and wire them down to 1ohms but will it blow the subs since its past the rms wattage even though its 800 watts under the max watt out put.? or would it be a good set up pushin these subs hard?

if i got the ZX1500 id get them at dual 2 ohms.

any suggestions help thanks!!!!

You wont instantly blow the subs just because the amp is rated more than the RMS of the subs, unless you are a dumbass and put the gain to max.

Remember, you can run a 50w RMS sub with a 4000w RMS amp, as long as the gain is set properly.

The most important benefit of running a more powerful amp than the subs can handle (again if you set the gain properly) is that you wont be pushing the amp to clip and cause distortion. You will also have more power in reserve for the heavy bass.

Get the AQ, run it at 1 ohm and be careful with the gain and be happy.
