I have some questions regarding my AP30001D.

1] Is the "bass knob" basically a gain knob?

2] Also since it is essentially 2 AP1500D's in one, if i hook a sub/voice coil to eat ouput is each output seeing the same amount of power? Like if I was to set my DMM with a gain, how would i do it so both subs/coils get the same amount of power?

3] Another thing i tried setting my gain with a DMM & every "click/tick" the volts increase by +/-10 ex. if i turn it once from 53.4 it would go to 64.7.

Thanks

1) If you're going ot use the bass knob, make sure you set the gains with the knob turned all the way up, so you dont clip anything.

2)is it a monoblock amplifier or a dual monoblock amplifier?

3) not much you can do about that, just be really careful when setting it. 10 volts is a huge jump.

1] cool....thats how i thought it should work.

2] its dual monoblock amplifier

3]yeah, thats what i was saying....but i was wondering using a dmm or a clamp meter is no different when setting the gains right?

1. As mentioned, set gains with knob at max. (Audiopipe Knobs are Pretty crappy compared to others, they peak at about 1/4-1/2 turn.)

2. It is two of the 1500D's Internally strapped.

3. Try Dialing some input signal out of the mp to help remedy the huge jump.

3. what do you mean by dailing some input signal out of the amp? care to explain it more?

The settings on your H/U or EQ.

Try Turning Bass Down to the negatives, Turn SLA Down, Turn Loud to a lower setting, etc.

If you have a Powered EQ, turn subwoofer level down.

Why should he do this? Just because it is two 1500's in one chassis does not mean that you have to treat it as 2 amps. Just like the Massive P3000's you wire them as one amp, since it is, and the amps are internally paralleled unless these are different.

You put too much thought into it, good try though.

The reason why is the Gain Knob seems to be extremely sensitive.

So If he inputs a lower signal, it won't jump nearly as much as it is now.

doesn't matter about the input level its the knob used it's too big of a pot resister with an audio curve to it. i've fiddled around with mine the only way your oing to fix it is to change the potentiometer in the knob and idk what that could do to the amp.
