literally. it sounds horrible. we hooked it up to 2 18" ssa xcons, then in the MINI to my 2 18" MTs...it sounds HORRIBLE. the subs bottom out very easy.. i have the gains at half, each channel is at 1 ohm, all settings on my HU are the same as they were with my sundown 3k which sounded 9085890340958093485 times better.

wtf is wrong? the subs arent out of phase, i even tried reversing the phase on my 880 and still sounds like crap.

again this is in 2 different cars with 2 different HU's...both soudned the same way. all ive heard is good reviews from these amps, no way this is how theyre supposed to sound.. i bought it new from VMinovations or something like that on ebay.

gains are set at half means nothing. read the voltage at the terminals and see what demand you are putting on the amp at "half gain", it may be more than 3krms, which would cause clipping, which would cause poo sound

why would i sell it, i just got it i can get it replaced.

its not clipping. it does this even at volume 5. even with the gains at 1/4...its deff not clipping..i thought it was a setting but theres no way as ive triple checked everything...it has to be a bad amp..it was bnib too..

sounds to be bad to me...you are running it 1ohm stereo right?

i'd return it.....i had this similar thing happen to me with a kicker zr360...found it had a bad chassy ground...i put a ground on one of the backplate screws and it somewhat fixed it.

WOW

on 2/4/10 will be 30 days, good thing i decided to hook it up in the MINI tonight or id be pass my 30 days and be screwed for an RMA. just checked their site.

ill open it up tomorrow and see if anythings loose/not connected but im within the RMA period so if theyll replace it thats good news //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Don't open it man, just send it back.

Places look for shit to be able to void your warranty. There is a little QC sticker that will tear when you open it, it's nearly impossible to peel off. If it's already broken, chances are you've got a refurb'd amp.

One time I bought something from vminovations and it was pure shit they sent me a 10 with so much coil rub. You couldn't move the cone! But they probably ****es up the amp! And remember you don't have this wired at 1 ohm right? Bc that's more than 3k rms!
