well im about to start putting my new system together and im not sure what i will need to upgrade in the electrical part of it?

the vehicle is a 94 chevy silverado, and im gunna run a audiopipe 3000 feeding 2 18" AQ's, i plan on running 0awq wire and doing the big 3 in it also but im just not sure what else i will need to get?

my friend runs the AP and only drops to 13s off a 100a alt

with 2 dekas(should have been C&Ds)

with 1 run, and no big 3(we need to do it still)

guess it depends, cause he demos them alot and doesnt drop far.

but i'd shop for some good batts if u can make em hang with little drops.

You'll need a couple extra batteries in the back. Depending on the % of time you use the system, a high output alternator could be needed.

I'd definitely do Big 3 in 1/0 (if it's not already), and analyze your usage, to decide how much battery backup and charging you'll need.

Is this a show/demo, daily pounder, or competition truck?

its a show truck, i drive it about once every 2 weeks but prob more once i get the system in

k, well for a show setup, I'd get a battery bank so you can demo for long periods of time without dropping too low.

I'd say 2 (big) -3 (medium) bats will do well, but just watch your volts to find out if it's enough. And charge up before each show or big demo.

Your AP amp can run off of low volts, but you don't want to cycle the bats too deep, or risk not being able to start your truck.

If you shows are outdoors, then I'd look for an alternator that gets maximum amps at idle... then only 1 (big) - 2 (medium) bats are needed.

Others may have a better perspective though.
