audiobahn going bankrupt

Oh, no. Well, I must be one of the only ones who hasn't had any problems with Audiobahn. I did learn that they are on the (lower?) end of the quality spectrum. But there is a strong dislike of Audiobahn around here. How come there is not as much attention placed on 'other' low quality products? Do they not even show up on the 'quality radar' ? Hmmm...

Honest question: aside from the chrome "bling" (you guys are so expressive) how is it that they can have a (5%? or whatever) failure rate of products coming off the line just like any other company e.g. Resonant Engineering, Digital Designs, Hifonics, etc., but they get blasted FAR worse? Inquiring minds really do want to know on this one...

because its all about personal opinion and perception? I'm sure there are forums out there that stand behind Audiobahn. You just happen to frequent the wrong forum.

Because there are other products that are a better value... and in some cases much better can be had at a comparable cost. I have very little experience with Audiobahn products, but I would never purchase anything from them...

You can't name a precentage like that for arguing a point when you dont know what that number is //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

I owned an AW 1000X. It's the most mechanical sounding woofer I've ever owned.

It's the worst sounding woofer I've owned to date.

i'll see if I can bring a shred of fact into this discussion...

Subject: Audiobahn Media Inquiry

The word online is spreading that Audiobahn is struggling, going as far as to say Audiobahn "almost had to file bankruptcy".

I'm not particularly an Audiobahn fan, but I have a lot of interest in the industry.

I'd just like to know if there's any truth to the rumor, and what the plans are for Audiobahn in the future.

Any info you can provide I will happily pass along as fact throughout the various forums I frequent.

Thanks a lot,

Justin
Justin,
Thanks for your interest in our company.

In 2007 we will be celebrating our 10th year of producing some of the most appealing mobile audio products in the industry. We actually launched our new product line-up at the most recent SEMA show in November. We had an extremely successful show in which we had a large booth on the showroom floor, had our tractor trailer rig and several show cars in the convention center parking lot, and held two private parties for our domestic and international customers.

We will also be attending the upcoming CES show though we have chosen not to have an actual booth at this year's show.

We are definitely looking forward to another successful year; one filled with many of the great show appearances and marketing collaborations that have made us so successful over the past decade. I am not sure where you heard the rumors that you reference in your email below, but I can assure you that we have not been and are not currently struggling or "almost had to file bankruptcy".

If you would like I can send you a copy of our 2007 product catalog (I just need your mailing address).

Thanks again for your interest in Audiobahn,

Vincent Lombard
