Audiobahn Comps

Hey for a budget set, are these comps any good for a first try? Audiobahn ABC600V

Thanks

I think I had a pair of silk CDT's and liked them-- no... that was Kevlar =\

Anyway, Audiobahns are known to be really expensive for not that good of a product. I think you pay like 1.5 the price it's worth. Audiobahn's usually on their own D.

But that could just be for amps / subs? Maybe their comps are good. I'm just going by from what I know.

But, to be honest, Audiobahn amps are pretty //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif

Originally I wanted RSDs but there running $100 on ebay, and Im not gonna be using my car for a whole lot longer, and to be honest, I'm just looking for some better power handling and sound quality for around 80-100 watts. Budget prime is around $70. I looked at the Ryvals by PG and these and a few others, but these got my eye. I've got kenwood 6x8s no sealing/deadening and there rated at 60 watts. 40 watts, and they start to burn lol. So I'm not asking for much. I plan on sealing and deadening the doors, thats kinda why I'd like to stay at $70. If you think these audiobahns wouldnt be too bad, I'll pick them up in a few weeks and give em a try.

One other quick question. When a place online rates a set of speakers RMS wattage, for example, the Audiobahn ABCs at 140, is that per speaker or for the set?

i have the audiobahn abc600c in my car right now..they sound decent. i threw them in cuz i picked em up for 35 bucks. and that 140 is for the component set. the tweets, midwoofers, and the crossovers

Get the Cadence CWM6 set. Installed a set for a buddy the other day and they are great speakers for the money. I put a full review up over on the review board. Really pack a punch, have a beefy mid, and pretty sexy looking too. Can't go wrong for $75. Plus Jason Paul the Cadence rep is on the boards here and can help out right away if needed. Great guy. You get warranty and everything on these buying them direct from Cadence at the link below.

Trust me, you don't want Audiobahns.

audiobahn speakers are always rated per speaker and probably per the highest rated speaker, in your case the midbass. Anywho... if you aren't sending them much power, tell us how you like them.

So If i did grab them and threw around 75-100 watts at them I'd be ok? I'm still open to other ideas around $70. Like the cadence, MB Quarts would they be ok? What about the Powerbass stuff? I'm definitely not looking for anything crazy good, just a ok first set to last me 6 months and to not be used again for a while.

With the RSDs hard to find/sketchy sellers holding people's money for a month, and all that, I am going to definitively say that you will have an EXTREMELY hard time finding anything less than $100 that will touch that Cadence set. Just get them and be happy.

Thats three for the cadence. Probably will get them and give em a try. This is my first set so im sure it'll be amazing difference regardless. There silk tweets right? There not too harsh are they, I dont like em to loud.
