Audiobahn 15" Immortal Series

Boss RIP-D3. The sub can run up to 2250 watts rms at 2 ohm operation, the amp says it will put out 1200 watts rms for 4 ohm operation, so it should put out a little more wattage for 2 ohm operation.

i doubt that amp puts out that much power, but you can get a RE sx for that price, and run it at 4 ohms.

I dont have much money to spend. I am not looking for anything too fancy. Just something to bump the sub a little bit. I figured that amp would give it enough to hit pretty decent. I was looking to get a cheap capacitor, maybe a Kole capacitor, it is 2.5 farad, and only 70 dollars.

no capacitor. they ****. use the money towards the sub. a capacitor does not help a weak electrical system. the RE sx should do you well.

I think I am gonna go with one of them anyway. I have heard they are pretty good. And I don't have the money to spend on some great competition subwoofer. I think people underrate boss amps. A buddy of mine had one running two 10" JL subs and they sounded good. If I could I wound go with an audiobahn amp but everything is just too pricy. But I really like their subs, a buddy of mine has 2 12" audiobahn subs, not sure which model, but he only paid about $100 for each of them, and they pound hard. However, he does have an audiobahn amp pushing them, but there isn't too much power going to them. But I think their subs are good quality.

then why did you ask if they were good or not if you already made up your mind you were going with them? an RE sx is not a "great competition sub." it cost about the same if not less.

I dont need it, for dbdrag in the class I'm in you can have 4 12"s or 2 15"s.. I had access to a great deal on 4 12"s and the 12"s have more cone area--so that's the way I went.

It was pretty f'n loud off of 1000 watts rms in the neon's trunk. This is the 2003 model I'm talking about, simple looks before they messed it up with a mile of chrome flames and all kinds of other doodads... My bud's using a pair of these in his cav, he has the quads going to a 602, pretty loud I'd say--I spec'd him a ported box tuned around 35hz and while my definition of sq and others probably varies, I think the 'bahns hit all the low notes pretty good.
