Started working on my car again today, and took some pics.

I feel like throwing up from the poly resin, so this is going to be brief for now...

here's the pics:

The Monster cable speaker wire i got for my door speakers:

The funky stroker mounting hardware... You actually have to pre-drill holes, and then stick these steel blocks inside the enclosure before mounting, and then you bolt the speakers into the steel blocks..... Ingenious idea, but it took about 3 hours just to mount the **** things:

Who says you can't use the drivers themselves as a skeleton? Lazy ingenuity FTW!

Why i will have NIGHTMARES about chopmat tonight. The ****'s a pain in the ass, but these pods are going to be strong, like bull.

Anyways, sorry some of the pics are out of order, i've been inhaling fumes for too long now, and need to relax and have a beer.

And before someone chimes in with "how the **** are those woofers going to cool through the vent if they're right up against the enclosure, my answer is **** you!

Actually, no, that's a good question. I'm going to mount the woofer on a double baffle, so the pole vent will be 3/4" from the rear of the pod.

And the baffle itself is self-enclosed, but the finished assembly will cover teh entire part of the door that has been gutted, and look very similar to the pics of the rear door panel deletes pictured above, with of course, the addition of very large drivers tossed in for good measure.

Le'me know what you think!

I'm gonna go throw up, or relax, or something, i can't even think //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif

ah yeah, that'll be loud, amps ?
Got an opti500x2 for the fronts, which will be running at 8 ohms, so ~240w rms x 2.

And i've got an opti4000D locked away in my office that's just waiting to unleash hell on the strokers.......
