I have a Brand New In Box pair of Audax PR170m0 midrange drivers. This listing is for the pair. I bought these for a build which never happened. These are some of the snappiest mid drivers bar none. Reviews and builds are readily available online.

Shipped from Madisound (where I just bought them) they are about $225. Save $50 buying new from me.

Doesn't it take more to power them ? Is it harder on the amp to run a speaker at 8 ohms vs the 4 ohm rating there rated at?

This. Say you have a 100 rms amp @ 4ohm load. At 8, it only puts out 50rms. Less strain on the amp. Your driver is only getting 50. Say you have an average car audio driver with sensitivity of 85db vs this at 100db. That 100 on the 85db driver would get you about 20 added db for a total of 105db sound output. On this 100db sensitivity driver getting 50 rms, you would add about 16 db from power, getting you 116db total (Rock concert). There's a quick and dirty explanation.
