SWINE FLU!!!!
I've been learning to spin for a little over a year now, but i'm just now starting to want to hear others do it...

so could someone recommend some CD's to get that would help influence the hip-hop/turntablism aspect that i'm trying to pursue?

only cd i have that's ALL like that is Mix Master Mike, Anti-Theft Device.

i'm looking for artists that rely mostly on turntablism, and not mixing

any help would be appreciated

turntable hard core 2

im sure there are plenty, thats just the only one that pops into my head. im not exactly a DJ so im not up on everything.

theres one song where he takes a johnny cash song (the number 13) and then adds a drum beat and speeds up the tempo, sounds bad ***.

thank you. i'll just search for similar artists on mp3.com

The Beat Junkies, all their albums. DJ Craze. DJ Mix Master Mike. DJ Qbert. DJ Babu (from the Beat Junkies).

Also, if you can find the movie, get the DVD called "Scratch", it's a documentary on the history of DJ'ing, not hip-hop and grafitti like most documentaries. This has a lot of DJ's from around the world (DJ Cool Herc, Africa Bambataa, Qbert, Craze, etc), how they got started, where they are now, what their goals were to set them apart from the rest of the other DJ's out there.
