I am having a bunch of problems with my system right now and could use someone's help in getting it back on track. If you are in the syracuse/ binghamton area that would be great, but i'll drive up to two hours for someone's help on a weekend sometime.

Every amp i've tried using for months seems to need the gain on 3/4 to do any power, and it still isn't very good power. I know my head unit ground isn't good because i need my antenna plugged in in order for it to work, but i didn't think that would cause my amp to do little to no power. The way i can tell that it isn't doing decent power is because at half gain, volume on 3/4, the subs moves 1/8th of an inch.

I guess i started noticing an issue when i changed my head unit to the deh6800mp, but it could have been happening before. The only amp i've used that worked like normal was a concept cc-d1200 when i first got the car a year a go.

My hu is a 3-4 month old pioneer deh6800mp from cardomain and my amp is a bnib a2400db, got it today. I know my equipment should be working and i just can't get it to do power. The list of amps i have tried includes xenon 600.1, orion 1200d, mtx 1500d, etc. All need gain on 3/4 to do decent power. Thanks for your time.

sounds like a problem with your electrical; alternator, battery, wiring, grounds
