attn bowlers, ball suggestions?

looking for a good light-medium to medium oil ball. currently i use a brunswick powergroove but not getting as much backend as i'd like. i'm going to go to the pro-shop in a couple days to talk to my driller and see what she has to suggest, but i figured i'd just ask anyone if they had anything i should specifically look at first and why.

Agent or ,Secrect Agent.nothing wrong with messing up a 300. I have left a pocket 7 pin (Im right handed) on the 3rd ball in the 10th to mess up my 800

i know there's nothing wrong with it kind of lol. i mean i still threw a good game(279) it's just kind of like, it sucks to get all pumped up just to not get it. this is the fourth time in my 3 years of bowling that i've thrown 9 in a row to start a game, then messed it up on the first ball of the tenth because i was so excited/worried/whatever. i was still happy with my game(although my high is 290) and my series, it just kind of sucks to not get it yet you know?

the agent line is a pretty good one. so is the NV and NVS line from ebonite. but i saw talk to your pro shop guy, that is if he's any good. your PAP, ball speed, and rev rate will dictate what kind of ball will fit your style best. me personally, i use track equipment. (Del Warren stuff) for those of u that dont know, Del IMO is the equvilant of zed audio stuff. my personal fav if u can find them are the equation and feak-a-zoid from track. allso something to look into is the cell by roto-grip. even though i'm not a big fan of goto-grip, that ball hits like a monster. take it from the head mechanic of a bowling center though, your proshop guy is the best to lead u to what ball to use.

PS, i've had countless 279's thanks to ringing 7 pin's. edit: u might also try a "reco drill". i personally don't have any of my bowling balls drilled that way, but i know several that do that say its a very smooth, and predictable roll. if u're pro-shop guy dosn't know what it is, tell him to look it up.

I use a Columbia 300 "hyde" It's pretty good for the back end.

I have a Columbia Wrath SF that I love in medium oil conditions. I also throw a RotoGrip Epic Battle but its for oily conditions, thing hits like a ton of bricks. One of my favorite balls of all time for medium oil is the original el nino. I know its an old ball but I still have mine and I can put that thing anywhere I want it.

i wouldnt go with the nv line or agent for medium. I have brunswick rampage that will do awesome on medium to light. and would go under the agent and nv line. also look at the jolt series.

My dad has a Brunswick Twisted Fury, it's a very nice ball with great pin action and nasty late hook.

I have also tried out a Hammer Black Widow, early early hook but great explosion, atleast for me.

I just got my ball like a month ago and can't remember the model for the life of me but I know it's brunswick.

I have a twisted it is not a medium to light oil ball. and the black widow is not either.

You may be right man. I have the bolwing manager oil my lanes prior to even my personal practice, and of course before league play.

The lanes I bowl on are rarely ever even down to what I'd call "medium" oil.

yea when the oil breaks down my twisted goes away. and i pull out the rampage.

GLN305 the wrath sf might be a good choice but they are going discontinued.

I know what you mean by getting mad about not getting a 300. I have been there many times. I have a messenger as my main ball and to be honest since my last one I won got stolen, I have just stuck to 1 ball. Works well in most cases from dry to oil. I just have to change my style to make it work, which I have quite a few. I wish I could stick to one, but seems I can't.

Maybe try out a ball from Hammer.

I currently use the black widow pearl and it's an awesome ball. It has a ton of backend power. Of maybe try out the Anger, i heard that is one of their strongest balls also.
