ATTN: Avionixx 800.2 users

Well after sending my 800.2 in for repairs last week i finally got to talk to a guy named Charlie at avionixx. He's a great guy btw, just almost impossible to understand him. Anyways he told me the Tripath chip in the amp came loose and was due to vibrations. He asked me if the amp was mounted on the sub box and i said yes. My 12a box vibrated so much that it caused the chip to come loose. So just an FYI if any1 has the 800.2 mounted on the sub box i suggest you move it, unless you want to take the risk.

Mines not mounted on the box, but rather next to it...think it will be a problem there?

Well, right now I've got the amp mounted to a piece of deadened MDF, which is under the carpet of the trunk.

I guess I will have to see how much vibration I'm getting with the sub playing.

well i would hope turn around for that would be quick i mean you said the tri-path chip came loose that is extremly simple to fix my man.
