I a from the next town over from Jena, La, and I will tell you now....ALL of this is a bunch of BS.
Yes nooses were hung, yes people fought...but alot of the stuff on the news was taken WAY out of context. And all the sh!t about the "white tree" is retarded!
Anyone that has ever been to highschool knows that friends tend to congregate around friends. That is exactly what happened in Jena.
Words got crossed, BS went down. Later, 6 guys beat 1 guy up.
I have had dam near the same thing happen to me! Me and another guy got in a fight, 4 of his buddies kicked me while I was fighting the guy...he passed out, I was knocked to the ground and they kicked me till a bunch of random people pulled them off me. Racial tension was high at the time at may school...Had others not been there to stop them...I would have been the dam close to the same thing as was happened in JENA. (minus the nooses) Alot of other BS spread from that day's fight.
There are always groups in schools that don't get along...not just black and white, but groups of friends...age groups...and the occasional @$$hole that just has to believe they are badasses.
Put all this into perspective. Some events on the news are connected, others are not.
Oh...and before anyone calls me racist (or my state):
-I have no reason to be. I have friends of every kind of background you can think of. I dare you to attack my character.
-I welcome anyone to come to Louisiana. If you don't act like an @$$, you will be treated w/ respect. BUT, if you can't respect others....forget about being treated as an equal.
