Dude...you don't need an actual receipt. You can take them anything showing how much they cost. A website or even an Ebay auction.

he's right. best bet is to go to a local RE dealer and tell them you're situation and ask if you can get some kind of invoice or document just showing the shops retail price for that particular model of woofers. i'd buy a few small accessories from the shop to give them a reason to help you. ussually they'll be helpful unless you get a total ******* at the front desk

Falsifying a receipt IS fraud. I dont personally care, and suggest you continue trying to find one, but dont fool yourself into thinking this is legal.

The way he worded it is wrong, all he really needs is a price quote. A written invoice showing a QUOTE is not illegal, which is all he needs.

Yes, if he takes that approach it would be legal. But his wording was asking for a post-dated receipt.

All he has to do is get the guy to write out a recipt saying he sold the sub for XXX number of dollars... it could be scribled on a napkin and it's still a valid recipt...
