ATR Concert

Went to my first All That Remains concert last night.

Holy hell, best thing I've ever gone too. I'm not even a fan of that type of music, I don't mind the singing but the screaming... ehh... I only went because there was a bunch of us going and they talked me into it.

Once we got there and they started playing it was f'in goood. Mosh pit was crazy, I didn't even plan on going in it that much, but ended up staying in that and up front for more than half the show. Ended up getting laid out twice, but nothing major.

Anybody else seen these guys? Or going to any of there other concerts on this tour? I THINK the next stop was Pheonix... Can't remember for sure though.

Shoulda been Divine Heresy, ATR, Five Finger Death Punch and Chimaira, they were in Columbus on the 9th.

Yeah Chimaira played second, first time I've heard them and they were almost as good as ATR. Definitely put on a good show too. Only bad part was the opening band, I think it was 5 finger... something... Every second word when he wasn't singing was "mutha****a" Kept saying things like.. "Come on muthafukas let me here you screeeaamm", but nobdody liked them so it was quiet. They weren't terrible, but didn't seem right opening for Chimaira and ATR.

Divine Hersey didn't show, only the 3 bands played. Was kinda nice with only 3 bands though, I was dead tired after ATR so I probably wouldn't have made it with 4.

A solid live performance will win most anybody over.

You'd probably would've loved Divine Heresy.

I've never heard Divine, so I couldn't tell you about them. I'm surprised you said FFDP sucked, as I've seen them, and they were good (not as good as Chimaira's set I saw in 2k4), but not great. I wouldn't said they sucked though.

Chimaira is farking godly live though. They killed the LC in 2k4 at the Jager. Best show I've been to by far.

Yeah, like I said, Five finger wasn't terrible, I actually didn't mind them, but seemed like the rest of the crowd wasn't a fan. Made a nice big circle, and had maybe 4 people mosh when they played. Kinda interested in seeing Divine now though, I was surprised to hear there was only 3 bands. You're right though, Chimaira was amazing and put on a hell of an opening.

The place went nuts when ATR played Six, This Calling and Not alone. EVERYBODY sang This calling. It was retarded loud during that. My hearing is still kinda muffled.

No surprise. I don't see why so many people drool over Six other than it's on GHII. Hell, pretty much every song on The Fall of Ideals is better than Six as a whole, if it weren't for the guitar work, Six wouldn't be that good of a song. Lyrically it's one of the weakest on the album.

Did Chimaira play Power Trip?

Yeah Chimaira played Power Trip, thats the one song that I do remember them playing.

Just went on to Youtube and checked out some FFDP... Did they get a new singer by any chance? If not... it wasn't FFDP that played. I wouldn't be surprised because like I said, I'd never heard of them before so I didn't know who to expect or what they looked like...
