update: no work done on fabricing the kicks, we don't have any super 77 and dont feel like making ANOTHER trip out
we picked up some carpet (two rolls of 36x72 black from walmart)

for testing, the alternator was:

14.20v idle cold

14.30v idle warm

14.39v at 2krpm

not sure if that was dependant on charge, but that was with HU off, blowers off, all lights off, just minimal current pull etc.

oh it did, about 1.4krpm but i took that reading within a few seconds of turning the car on, and also the HU/stereo/dome light was on
