At&T/SBC U-verse Question

An AT&T tech stopped by my house. They just finished dropping fiber optic lines for the neighborhood, and asked if i wanted to replace my DSl(currently at&t elite plan) with their fiber optic lines for free. I know its faster so i get a full 6mb d/l and 1mb u/l that im paying for already.

it says the IP is dynamic. However I know a lot of companies claim its dynamic which it probably is on a technical level but it isnt.

to get to the question:

Can I still change my IP whenever I please? Right now on regular aDSL I can change my IP whenever I please without having to call the ISP, whereas other companies you have to call and its a hassle. never mind why I ask, but just answer it please.

Shouldn't be a problem. ipconfig /release or ipconfig /renew and you should be fine.
