assasins owner's respond!

Im purchasing 2 AA assasin 8's or 10's this week. I want to hear people's input on sealed and ported boxes. I have a 2.5 ported tuned to 28 hz, for 2 8's that i may cut out for 2 10's, or considered sealing it. from what I hear these subs are low end monsters. Please give me your expierence's with these subs sealed vs ported.Thanks

i did a 0.6 cuft ported @ 40hz for an Assassin 8. the tuning did catch majority of the songs my friend listens to with a pretty impressive output for that small thing. of course, it being an 8 (and tuned rather high) it wont shake your pants off on the lows the bigger subs can do, but it is sufficient.

I don't think the assasin 8's are the same "lowend monsters" as the 10's or 12's. FS is completely diff.

I just installed 2 10" subs in a MTX Thunderform box. Orion HCCA D2400 amp. It is freakin insane....blew away my old phoenix gold octane zr's. Easily twice as loud....very clear clean deep bass. No distortion. I am extremley happy with them...Do a search with my name and there are pics...

just hooked a 10 up in my truck maybe 1.5cube @35hz with 300 watts, this is pretty nuts

I have two, 12's in 12.5 ft^3 each sealed getting 250W each, and it'll rattle a lot of stuff in my car but I want more low end, so I think I'm gonna go with 3.5 ft^3 combined chamber tuned to 32Hz and see how that goes. In numbers they shine int he lowend. I think with atleast two tuned to around 28, you would be SUPRISED
Mine are tuned at 32 HZ and songs in the high 20s HZ range shook the shit out of my car. Flexing roof and windshield...
