I dont feel like waiting for the RE xxx to come back, since i dont know how long its going to be.. adire is also doing the same thing..

I called the guy at ascendant today, he said they haev a few 15s left.. so i was thinking about just geting an avalanch to replace my need for an xxx... Does anyone know if this will do a good job comming close to the sq and everything else of the xxx / mk2 brahmas? Or what other subs might do a better job at getting to the xxx / brahma quality then the avalanch..

IMO, the avalanche is a great alternative to the brahma/XXX SQ wise. I put one in my buddy's camaro. Its in the recommended sealed box (Q of .707) and it sounds absolutely amazing. Were workin on a fiberglass ported enclosure for it right now. I tried it in 3.2 @ 28hz off of around 100 watts, and i was very impressed with it as well.

Its rated for around 800 rms, i was just curious also if anyone knew if these things could handle around 1k rms? Itd be in a 2.2c sealed box... im pretty excited, i was going to get the xxx 15, called them, and got some chinease bastard that got smart with me when i asked if he knew when the new mk2s would be in.. so screw em', didnt even try adire.. i know their all gone.. so time to go w ith these, called them up today and all they have left are the 15s... i shouldnt be to disopointed..?

they can be found at the Ascendant page, they are going pretty cheap now, they are trying to get rid of their stock to make way for the newly designed verson with the mk2...

Im sure it would be an upgrade from those infinitys...

You should be fine with 1kw. Just make sure the gains are set accordingly.

my friends got a power acoustic a1800db (1400 x 1 @ 1 ohm) running his, im not sure exactly what its getting, but its ~1kw

You should be fine with 1kw. Just make sure the gains are set accordingly.

Yes indeed, i hear they like small places, 2.2 cubes usualy, witch is great for me, being a guy putting a 15 in the back of a camaro...
