Army to shoot live pigs for drill

I dont know about shooting pigs but I know for a fact that the Special Forces will shoot a Goat for Medic Training. They Shoot the goat with in a non-lethal area and the combat medic has to keep it alive over a certain amount of time. They dress the wound, stop the bleeding and even give the goat a I.V.. Crazy stuff......

I can confirm this except when i saw it done...it was shot in the belly with a 12ga. and the Medical sergeant had to sustain its life for 24 hours.

fvck peta, if they save one life due to that training, then it was worth it
throw a human out there and let them try to save it. closest youll get to the real thing. a pig is a pig and has a different body structure, reaction, and mentality than other things. if they can shoot a pig without intentions of killing it just to save it, throw a human out there and let them just shoot it to make it bleed so they can patch it back up.

well, the exercise IS on Hawaii, so I guess thats Ft Schafer. I can see the locals stringing up the pig on a palm tree and cookn' it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

You guys are right, the Army should give peta guys the opportunity

to volunteer to save the life and suffering of a pig by taking it's place

in the excercise.
