Army to shoot live pigs for drill

throw a human out there and let them try to save it. closest youll get to the real thing. a pig is a pig and has a different body structure, reaction, and mentality than other things. if they can shoot a pig without intentions of killing it just to save it, throw a human out there and let them just shoot it to make it bleed so they can patch it back up.

A pig is an extremely good human analogue for this sort of exercise, that is why they are using it. Would you rather have the medics untrained when it comes time to save the soldiers. I am not a big fan of this but it is definitely for the greater good of humanity and they are only pigs.

You guys are right, the Army should give peta guys the opportunityto volunteer to save the life and suffering of a pig by taking it's place

in the excercise.

so peta wants them to spend outrageous amounts of money on high tech human simulators? so dumb. the only thing pigs are good for are sausage and bacon. if these troops have a hard time seeing a poor little pig get shot, what are they gonna do when they get shipped into war????
