Keeps it really real.
So I'm suppose to be transferring out to Glendale (Phoenix), Arizona in a month in a half. I kind of know two people out there already and I have a place to live for free for a month or two until I can find my own place. I've been dating a girl here in Bloomington for the last 8 - 10 months and she just found out today that she'll be getting a full ride for her Masters at University of South Florida in Tampa.

She's been really tore up that we're going our separate ways (since I've wanted to move someplace warm for the last two years), but now she is also moving someplace warm. What would you do??

Go to Tampa? Go to Phoenix? The beach would be nice... but Phoenix just seems to have so much more (LA, Vegas, and skiing just a few hours away) going for it.

Please keep thread on subject. I know how the lounge typically works. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Let's see... here's just a couple pros and cons of each

Arizona

Pros - Always wanted to move there, close to anything I could ever want to do, great weather

Cons - I'll be moving there in the summertime (hot. very hot.), won't know anybody there, 32 hour drive

Tampa

Pros - The girl, the beach, warm year round

Cons - Humid, higher crime rate (this is important.. my car is full of expensive goodies), also hot during the summer... but not as hot as Phoenix, possibility of relationship ending?

well, if she is that intense with school, shes not going to have much free time... gotta think about that too. Its a tough call, im about 1.5 hours from Tampa and I like the area. But... im used to it too, i dont know anything about LA or Vegas. GL with decision.

Phoenix is very nice and for the record, FL weather in the summer is just as bad as AZ heat, only in a different way. Humidity is horrible, IMO. I'm a friendly guy and know tons of audio nuts in the Phoenix Area. Moved here a year ago from NY, so I know what it's like starting over. Anyways, good luck with your decision, I know this isn't an easy one.

FL is too humid for me.

AZ.... ID theft capital of the US and car theft is pretty bad (Mexico is so close).

The crime issue can be fixed in any city by moving to nicer neighborhoods and taking proper precautions like parking a car IN your garage.

I love AZ and will probably never leave. I just want you to know what to expect. Oct-May..... awesome weather. June-sept..... pretty shitty but A/C is an awesome invention.

go to tampa. 813, will always be my home for the rest of my life. unless i move to england in the countryside like i always wanted.

But thats a different story.

I live right by USF. nice place.

either way if you come down here to AZ or go up to FL with a car full of very expensive car audio you have about the same chances of something getting stolen but i would go to FL its to **** hot out here in AZ it feels like 110 outside and it aint even summer yet
