Are you satisfied with your Dish Network Satellite TV service?

you know the problem with these providers is that they don't even know where will be providing their services.
I have been calling ATT UVERSE (same as Fios i guess) for few months now and when i ask: will you be providing service in "my exact address"? all they say :

" ummm we're not sure sir" or we don't have that kinda info sir"

I mean if i knew Fios was going to provide service for sure id definately wait.

I'm going to call them and let you know how they handled the question.
The problem is that most apartment complexes will have a contract with only one provider and the only was to get away from that is to go sattelite.

Just be thankful you dont have Ygnition, which is Dish Networks cable company. Talk about crappy service. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

lol. u r right about contract 100%

SOBs wont let me swtich my DSL internet coz they tied with a contract.

And now im just wasting $25 every month coz u gotta have use the phone line (which i don even have the phone)to get internet.

300????
So what did u do? were u under contract?
No i wasn't under contract.

I called them three times and explained that i had been a customer for almost a decade, THEY broke my dvr, I wasn't under contract, and could just switch to directv and get a FREE dvr... and none of them would waive the fee...

So now i am a happy directv customer.

BTW when i finally called to cancel my service with dish, after directv was installed and i no longer had a dishnetwork dish on my roof... then they were willing to waive the fee...

loL.

i have direct tv, been good only issue is the guy came back to fix a tv that went out and ever since my **** unique whips doesnt record right. but i love it
dude, with my schedule...Recording issue would have been a huge a** issue

fuk dish.
They sent my DVR an 'update' which broke the fukkin thing (and they admitted their update broke it) and then wanted ME to PAY $300 to get a new DVR that worked. This was after being a customer for almost 10 years... they used to be really good but their customer service has gone to shit in the last couple of years..

STAY AWAY FROM DISH.

direct did the same to my mom. hers were the hd/dvr box.

they told her the would replace them for free(she owned the boxes) they show up replace the boxes and had them sign for a service. what they did was rent her the new boxes and set her up on a 2yr contract.

you guys do realize dish network uses directv satelites right?

Direct TV charges too much for DVR receivers.
if you have 2 TV- you get at least $20 extra on your bill with those "mirroring fees"
should only be 5.99 for the dvr service for the entire acct.

Dude, ive been waiting for ATT UVERSE (no phoneline needed for internet, and you get your fast internet and cable bill in one $60-70 bill) for 8 months and they have been installing all over neighbourhood but not in my apt complex.
Whats Fios anyway? Does Fi stand for fiber optic? What are the benefits?
uverse is awesome. i work for att, i wish they had the service in my area.

Can i chose not to have a phoneline if i get internet from them?i got like 1000 mins and free nights and weekends on my cell- don't really need a phone line
can also do the same thing with the normal dsl, its called dry loop service

I have had Dish Network for about 3 years. Other than the random signal issues during storms, I have been very happy. I had a DVR box go bad and they sent me a new one overnight and paid postage for the returned box. I don't like the $77/month, but I guess you pay to play.

Grandpa had the ATT setup for about a week and it was absoutley horrible. Would go out with a wind gust, cut out in rain/snow. Yes, had all that in a week, lol! We ended up going time warner and he likes that a lot better.

I wish I had Armstrong, which my parents have. They have so many more HD channels for free over TW.

Not always. Depends on the telco.

For me, it cost an extra $20 a month to have naken dsl, but i can get a phone for $16... tell me that makes sense..

i have a home phone line, but dont even have a phone plugged in.

obviously, i was talking about AT&T

Where I live I don't know how satellite companies actually get people to buy. We get routine dense storms when it is season. Many outages on sat during this time. People leave Brighthouse only to come back as soon as they can lol.
as a brighthouser installer, i hate the way DTV changes the wiring configuration in houses.
