Are you satisfied with your Dish Network Satellite TV service?

I have Direct TV - actually AT&T Direct TV (which is worse because i'm not eligible for Direct TV promotions) and its not the best.

The only good thing about ATT Direct TV is that there's no contract.

I was thinking of switching to Dish. What do you guys think?

Are you pleased with the service? how does it perform in bad weather conditions?

I was thinking of getting Top 100 America+HBO.

Personally I prefer Direct TV over Dish but my dad is the opposite. There is the occasional weather related outage but at least where Im at its pretty rare.

If you arent happy give it a shot.

Where I live I don't know how satellite companies actually get people to buy. We get routine dense storms when it is season. Many outages on sat during this time. People leave Brighthouse only to come back as soon as they can lol.

fuk dish.

They sent my DVR an 'update' which broke the fukkin thing (and they admitted their update broke it) and then wanted ME to PAY $300 to get a new DVR that worked. This was after being a customer for almost 10 years... they used to be really good but their customer service has gone to shit in the last couple of years..

STAY AWAY FROM DISH.

Dude, ive been waiting for ATT UVERSE (no phoneline needed for internet, and you get your fast internet and cable bill in one $60-70 bill) for 8 months and they have been installing all over neighbourhood but not in my apt complex.

Whats Fios anyway? Does Fi stand for fiber optic? What are the benefits?

Yes its fiber optic

Yep you can do that.
you know the problem with these providers is that they don't even know where will be providing their services.

I have been calling ATT UVERSE (same as Fios i guess) for few months now and when i ask: will you be providing service in "my exact address"? all they say :

" ummm we're not sure sir" or we don't have that kinda info sir"

I mean if i knew Fios was going to provide service for sure id definately wait.

I'm going to call them and let you know how they handled the question.

Ive had dish network for the past 2 years and only have had one problem. My DVR broke, they mailed me a new one and i sent the broken one back to them. So far i have really liked their service, also I have very few outages during rain/snow storms.
