Just wondering if two Sony XS LB10s are overkill. I am replacing my system a piece at a time to get up to date. So far I have replaced the front door speakers on my 2003 Silverado (I am told it's a mid year, so the radio is more like the 2004, no OnStar) and the rear door speakers. Went with Kickers front and rear, replacing the stock speakers. Have not replaced the tweeters in the front door yet, although I think I will, again with the Kicker.
I came across two Sony XS LB10S subs.
XS-LB10S | 10" Slim Series Subwoofer | Sony | Sony Style USA which I bought, and am now looking for an amp. I have been looking at the Sony XM-GTX1852, which looks like it will drive both Sony XS LB10S, and not break the bank. If I add tweeters to my Kicker 6.5 and 4X6 setup, will two XS LB10S be overkill with that amp???
I am still using the stock receiver, but am planning on replacing it with a Sony or JVC unit. Looking at the JVC KW-XR810

although I really want bluetooth, which the Sony does not have in a Double DIN without getting way out of my budget.
The kicker tweeters will be about $50, not sure if I should add them. I would like to stay under $150 on the amp, but should I use both LB10S, or get a Sony XM-1S and only use one subwoofer -

I'd like to stay between $150-$300 on the head unit, definitely want Double DIN and bluetooth, not sure if I should add another amp or use the head unit to drive the Kicker speakers. Most head units look like they will handle them no problem
BTW, I listen to everything, but most of my listening is rock-metal. A Perfect Circle, Alice in Chains, Blindside, Flyleaf - a little As I Lay Dying or Haste the Day, occasional Satriani and Dream Theater, very little rap, I do have a couple of GRITS songs I like...
So I am looking at finishing off for around $500 (tweeters,amplifier, receiver). Your thoughts on the road I am on???
