Are the Alpine SPX-17PRO components any good?

I am looking at the Alpine SPX-17PRO component speakers for the rear in a 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee. I am looking for an sq type of set up so I was wondering if this will be a good investment.

From what I have heard, they are a good component set. Just make sure you get a good price on them so if you dont like them, you can always try something else and get rid of them.

Why are you worrying about your rear speakers though for a SQ setup? WHats in your frontstage right now? Are you going to amp them? we all need more information about your setup to give you some good recommendations etc. Unless your just looking to find out what speakers get good reviews etc.

Most people in good SQ setups usually spend at least 75% if not all of their money in the front of their vehicle.

I am planning on getting this jeep soon, I want an all around great sound from my speakers. Not just the front.

I understand. As far as speakers for the rear is it your goal to have the rear passengers have the same experience as you in the front, or will you mainly be driving by yourself? All around is okay, but when focused on primarily the front speakers first the outcome is usually better for you. what have you planned for the front?

what do you mean "same thing?"...The front and rear is not the same thing. Its all preference in where you want to spend your money in your setup. however when more money is spent up front(where your actually sitting), More people are usually happier. Unless of course you are trying to entertain the people sitting in the rear seats(which most people dont care about that)

How much do you know about car audio? Dont take this as Im assuming you dont know anything, because for all I know you know more than me, but I am just trying to help you as much as I can.(that is if you want the help)

I think we need to know what you are attempting to achieve. Alpine comps in the rear doesn't tell us much. How much power are ya gonna run, aftermarket deck? What front stage, sub? There's some smart people on here that you can learn a lot from, give 'em something to work with. Simple answer: yes mine sound very good for the online price.
