i just bout a rockford fosgate 15" P2 single 8 ohm subwoofer. i got it in a 6.7 cube inch Virtual technologies vented box. i have two amps i can power it with a crunch blackmaxx Mxb2200 800watt max and i also have a sony xplod xm-1652z 1000watt max amp. which amp would be the best to get the most out of this sub? what wattage will this sub blow up with? i did have a p1 15" single 4ohm and it blew in a matter of mins with the sony. i dont want to blow a 163 dallar sub. any body have any luck with these???

that thing puzzles me is that the p1 sounded a lil better than the p2. the thing that pisses me off about rockford fosgate is that their older subs are alot better thin the new ones. i mean dont get me wrong the subs are beautiful looking but they dont sound anything like a old school rockford

my neighboor has 2 10" P1's running on a 1000watt hifonics amp and they sound awsome but this one 15" dont even come close to em. my 15" p1 was louder and deeper then this p2. the p1 is a 400max and the p2 is a 500 max 250 can it possibly run at a higher rms and not blow?
