Are FI Q's Really that great?

Wait a min....so the Q's dont like to be sealed?....I was thinking about getting a 15" and sealed the biotch running it with my D61500.1 @ 1ohm.

Have 1 12 q off 1000rms and in a 1.5cft sealed box and it sounded just ok when I had a foam in. I dont recommend doing that. I turned the box around and sounded night and day difference. Had to send mine back though for some mechanical issues. All is being resolved though. Scott is some good peeps!

Nothing but myth..

Same thing as the Q's have no low end.

I've got a 12Q sealed in 1.1 cubes with a dei 1100d with no issues at all.

its pointed towards the rear (opening of trunk) vehicle. how would i know what it's crossedover at? i'm only assuming its somewhere around 60hz. my very last setup was a 12 CVR in a prefab ported box and it sounded like crap (it was a get by for now system) and my current setup is currently sounding just about the same just a bit better and louder.
i'm after the deep/clean bass. should i go ported? i was thinking 3.5cu.ft. tuned to 28hz?

I would really try ported if I were you and tuned low 28hz gives it a nice smooth deep sound. Sealed does not sound great to me unless it is in a large sealed box.....Qtc of .6-.5 or so. I like the extra output right above tuning where in a sealed box the low end rolls off a littler earlier where in a ported box it does not really roll off until around tuning which you can control.
