Are Eclipse subs any good?

I'm thinking of getting a 10" Aluminum cone Eclipse sub. Have you heard anything good or bad about them and would you recommend something else? Also what amp do you recommend running a single 10" sub (preferrably the Eclipse)?

yes eclipse subs are very good... especially the titanium series.. as for the amps, since you're getting a high end system, i would get either PG or orion...

Eclipse make nice subs...but they are too expensive for what they are worth. Try and get the best deal possible.

For a mainly SQ oriented sub, I would not suggest the JBL 1200.1...but something a little cleaner...such as Phoenix Gold Ti/Tantrum, MTX, Memphis, JL Audio, Arc, and Zapco - just to name a few.

I think a 10" Alum is what, 500 RMS? If the RMS is 500 I would send it anywhere from 350 - 450 RMS //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

that's ok, but i wouldn'y suggest doing that... its better having seperate amps.. you're having a high end speakers, so im sure you can afford an amp... but getting a 5 channel is not bad, it just won't be as loud having seperate amp to your sub

I have a 12" aluminum and i know it can do 500+ easily. I have mine running off of a hifonics gen xi hercules. It was running off of a mmats d300hc. it took everything the amp threw at it.

What size Ti's? I seen some on eBay the other day...wasnt a bad price, but you could probably buy yourself 3 more Alum's with that money lol.

well i had talk to a guy who is a Eclise dealer that had loads of 15" Ti's for $370, but I have heard a few of opinions like that they are over motored, but most are saying that they are over priced, so if I could find them cheap then BLAM, but CMPX2's have put up identical numbers in almost every category for less, so they delema still exists
