Are 2 channel amps better

no... they both can serve this purpose depending on your application... besides you'll prob end up bridging the 2ch into mono anyways... but you'll make your maximum power at different ohm loads, unless it's a regulated power supply...

Let's say i'm gonna push 2 12's 4 ohm coils. What amp would be better ???
mono, most 2ch amps aren't stable at 2ohms and they will be way weaker per channel in stereo. also bass is non-directional and it doesn't need to be in stereo so there is no reason to run them in stereo... add the RMS power handling of both subs and look for a mono amp that does that much power at 2ohms mono. It'll be the best deal for the price... if you wanted to waste money though some zapco's are stable at 2ohm bridged

For some reason I don't really like Zapco.....//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

Can you recomend me a particular amp that would be good ?

I prefer 2 channel ......

My subs have 1,200 watts max & 600 watts rms..... each and they have dual 4 ohm coils...
ok then, that's a little different... you are looking for 1200w @ 1 ohm mono.... Orions, Cadence, and Viper are very well built and still reasonably priced
