So I just got a 12 inch dd 3500. It's hooked up to a kicker dx 1000 at 2 ohms (****** for this sub I know). I'm gonna try to get a arc kar series 1200.1 amp. Obviously it's an upgrade, but how much better will it power my sub. Will it be louder? Sound better? Or is it just the fact that it will be able to handle the sub at higher volumes? My local car audio shop told me that arc audio is one of the best amps you can buy. They just got some in yesterday and they told me they will sell it to me for 600 dollars. Will I notice the difference, I mean I understand you are getting what you pay for, but is it really worth the money?

id look at other brands, you can get a good bit of power for 600 bucks.

There are some higher powered amps for less. Arc amp are nice and clean power. But don't think you'll notice a difference in power

BRO, i sold my arc se4000 for 800, are you really gonna pay that much for a 1000w, thats crazy in my opinion too... listen to these guys...

saz1500dv3 new for 525, or go with what mylows10 offered. or check the classies on here, i found my saz1500v3 there for 340. the arc are great stuff, but you can often find better/equal for less with a little perusing. $600 is a decent budget to start with, good luck with your search.

in other words it will be a waste from your kicker 1000w to any amp at 1200w, if you want an upgrade that you can tell the difference look for a 2000w amp and make sure your electrical can handle the 2000w amp

Arc amps are amazing! I love every bit of them

two problems here though... 200w isn't going to be the audible difference you're looking for

and you're still underpowering the sub.

If you want to be louder invest in big power
