Arc Audio KS1000.1 - Which IDmax? Dual 2 ohm or Dual 4 ohm?

Here are the specs on that KS1000.1:

Power output RMS @ 4 ohms: 1 x 850 watts

Power output RMS @ 2 ohms: 1 x 1000 watts

Power output RMS @ 1 ohm: 1 x 1000 watts

Transient Distortion (400W): Frequency Response: 20Hz - 250Hz

Signal to Noise Ratio (A wtg.): >112dB

Bass Boost: +15dB@10-125Hz

Crossover (Butterworth): 30Hz - 250Hz variable 24dB

Fuse: 30A x 2

Size: 15.0 1/2"(L) x 8.0"(W) x 2 3/8"(H)

I am going to be going with (1) 12 inch IDmax (still unsure about the type of enclosure, ported or sealed) but I will be using this amplifier. Could someone tell me which sub I need - the Dual 2 ohm or the Dual 4 ohm. I understand single voice coils, but am not familiar with dual voice coils. Thanks!

the amp specs say 1000@1 and 2 so you could get d2 or d4 sub

Only will be running one sub...will the dual 2 ohm run more efficiently though?

i would run a dual 4 ohm. get 1000 watts at 2 ohm instead of 1 ohm

plus if you even decide to run another sub you can get another dual 4 and wire the amp to 1 ohm.

Ability to expand your system (as your taste changes) is always a plus...and cheaper in the end.
