So decided to clamp the AQ3500.1 today after doing some adjustments to my box. Pretty happy with the results.

Gains set so that clipping light doesnt come on (dont have access to an oscope anymore )

starting impedence = .25ohm

Final impedence = .9ohm

starting voltage = 15.2

final voltage = 13.1volts (its cold out and didnt let the car warm up or charge up or anything. usually drop to 13.8volts on burps)

AC Amps = 66.8amps

AC volts = 61.2volts

Total Watts = AC amps x AC volts = 66.8 x 61.2 = 4088watts

rated 4300watts @ 1ohm @ 14.4 volts

not too shabby at 13.1 volts.

Kinda dissappointed in my box rise though. i was rising from .25 to .6 before i messed with it.

If your clipping indicator doesn't light up at all you are pretty much at zero thd. Turn the gain up until the clipping led just blinks as the frequencies in the music change. That will give you right at 1%thd and increase your output.

i have the audioque 3500d and just had it on my o-scope today and i was at 64volts ac output before i even remotely started to clip and my clipping light was on so im led to beleive that they arent all that accurate?? now maybe this isnt the right way to check the watts but i thought you could use volts squared times ohm's = watts?? if that is the case mine was right at 4096watts at 1ohm at about 12.5volts...and absolutly no clipping....
