I found someone whos willing to sell me an audioque AQ2200D for $250.. its brand new in box and still in the plasti, and unfortunately I live in rural east texas so AudioQue is unknown around here so i was trying to get some better specs/info on it before making a purchase.. i know the $250 is a good price based on what iv read so far, but I was wanting to know two things specifically:

if its actual power at 1ohm is over 2200watts and if so what it is (such as on the birthsheet or by actual testing)

 

and if its okay to be run at .5ohm for daily use and what its power output is at .5ohm..

iv read that these can be run at .5ohm at no problem but i wanted to get more input just to make me feel better about it.. I got about 5 hours to decide so hurry up and tell me //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif... thanks in advance

There are quite a few people that run them at .5 ohm. They will do rated with a perfect 14.4 voltage.

I wouldnt do .5 ohm unless you have the electrical to back it up. Otherwise you are asking for trouble.

there great amps. but like stated, dont run .5 ohm unless you got the backup needed.

well i got stock alt,big 3 upgraded to 1/0, stock batt up front and two alphacell Gel 180GXL batteries wired in back, 94ah each, so imma see how it goes and see if i get voltage drop or not and go from there

but i think it should handle it even tho i got stock alt.. i was havin dimming still after i hooked up second batt then i read on here how people said to run wire from negative from batt under hood to negative on 2nd battery and after i did that I've had zero dimming or voltage drop but that was on a Fosgate T10001bd, which i feel was a bit more inefficient than the AQ will be so hopefully there wont be a significant difference in the current being drawn, but theres no way to really know until I hook it up and see.. im meeting the guy at 7, thats when ill know for sure, but I'm feeling pretty confident that i wont have any issues.. thanks for the input everyone..

but while im here, i got another question.. this is a question for another category, but would you recommend a RE MX15 or a Sundown Nightshade 15.. i have found one of each at a good price, both are dual 2 so itd be runnin at 1ohm on the AQ2200D.. itd be for daily use, and i dont have a box, itd temporarily be in a JL HO box until i got one built to specs, but all in all which would you guys recommend?? theyre both rated 1500rms, but I'm sure ones superior to the other and that each have their pros and cons so thus why i ask.. thanks

I hope you have great luck with that amp, cm. Thanks for hooking it up before you left the house. That was the first time it had power to it, and I felt a little heartbroken , but thankful it was someone like you that got it. Post some #'s when you get your system tuned.

PS..the kids really thought there was an earthquake with the windows in the house rattling for a sec. *LOL*
