i just purchased 1 12" Fi Btl and i was wondering if an aq2200 will be enough to run this thing? Or should i find something in the 3k range?? are they power hungry??

I'd say about 2000 if its not fully loaded and if it is about 3000 it probably could take more thats just what i have heard. So i think the AQ2200 should be good.

its fully loaded and i plan on having a 200 amp alt with the big 3 and possibly an extra batt.

should i need another batt. for only 2k?

The more batts the better. You need at least 2 deep cycles. 1 under hood, 1 in trunk..

well in my opinion the aq2200 is a 200 amp amplifier so u should prolly try to fit a 100ah batt under the hood n definitly have a 100+ah batt in the trunk n thats just to feed the beast amp n if for any reason ur alt blows out or somethin ur batts got plenty of juice to drive u for miles if not a day wit runnin no stereo or radio so u can get to a shop on time

well, power wise i have only 1 crunch gp3000 pro hooked up on 2 btl's. it slaps like a mother f ucker and im only giving them 1500 watts. but i think ur ish would pound with a aq2200.
