AQ2200 for a HDC318

right now i've got a hdc318 running off of a hifonics brutus 2000wt....in 5.9cubes at 37hz, and it's really loud, but it just looks like the sub is begging for more power...btw i only set the amp (with dmm) for 1700wrms, i figured that was bout all i could get out of it anyways.....but would it be worth selling the brutus for the AQ2200, i would have the big 3 done with 1/0ga, and 2 dump truck batts....(those batteries are a size 31, and put out 1000cca's, so i figure they do pretty good)

The dmm thing isn't totally accurate with just a dmm. The sub might not be seeing 1700w. But the 2200 would be a good investment, I believe.

the 2200d do like 2500rms 1 ohm there underrated. id say u would see aout 2100rms after imp

no.. the aq does 2200@14.4 with 1% THD.. you will se around 1900-1800 on a 12v electrical system(13.5)... the hifonics around 1400-1500..

my 1750s done slightly more the aq in my tests,

i woul grad a 2500 like the cadence daytona 2500. does about 2700@ 14.4 with 1%thd and 3k with 5%...

not knocking the aq but its not quite enough power...
