Aq1200 Not pushing 10" SDC2.5 hard

What HU do you have?Settings on amp? Gain? Lpf? Ssf?

What size/brand wire are you using for the amp/sub

are you using the bass/clip knob it comes with?
Kenwood KDC BT838U

LPF: 90

Gains set to 38 volts

SSF: 30

Im using 10 awg power wire for my subs, and Yes I am using the bass knob it comes with

reallly????? What kind of HU would you recommend? Are the Alpine 9886 any good for performance? I put one in my gf's car couple of months ago and it sounds good.

I just looked up the headunit specs and it only puts out 2.5-3V on the RCAs... what is a good voltage to use?

Oh headunit, I was talking about amp, what kind of amplifier are you using?

Can you make the clip light turn on? if so a new HU is not gonna make your setup louder lol. how much port area do you have?
Yes i can make the clip light turn on but that's with my gains about 3/4 of the way up.. Would adding an EQ make any difference? I have a pinoeer EQ just sitting around that i've been meaning to hook up

. Well I bought the box from mobile 1 and i asked them for the specs and that's what they gave me.. port area is 1-1/4" x 11-1/2"

Seems like you have enough port area. An eq wont make a difference for spl. I would have to say it could be the box, or just be patient while the sub breaks in for a few weeks. I've never used an sdc2.5, but I just reconed an hdc3 and the suspension on it is super stiff when it's brand new, and softens up A LOT when broke in. I would call Audioque and talk with them, maybe they can give you a heads up on your problem. their number is on the AQ website.

Yeah ill just be patient while it breaks in. It's still really stiff so I'll just give it some time. ILl call DJ later this week about it. THanks

I'm assuming that ssf on your kenwood means subsonic filter. If so it seems like 30 hz is kinda high. Might be takin away some of your low bass.
Im talking about the SSF on the amp. Its soemwhere between 25-30 right now.

Wait how big are your power/ground wires? were did you ground to? and you have 10ga wire you said from amp to subs right?
4ga power and ground and 10ga from sub to amp.

My amp is run under my seat and the wires from the amp to the sub are about 6 foot each. Is that a problem? Will shorter wires be better?

wel i turned the gain on the amp about 3/4 of the way and the result were ehh... a little better.... I just measured the dimensions of the box and put it into RE audio box calculator and it said the box is tuned to 42 hz... =( Mobile 1 lied to me i guess...

15.5 W x 13.25 H X 15 D

Port is 1.25 W x 11.5 Long

Is this the reasonw hy I am not getting a good response from the sub and it not hitting the lows too well?
