Finally got to order these bad boys just moments ago! Been trying to get em for a while but I had other important things to take care of first, now I got a lil breathing room so I went ahead and did it. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Only problem is that I didn't buy an amp yet (still need to take care of other things before I can buy more CA stuff) //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif.

But, it's no big deal since it won't be until this weekend that I will get to finish the box. Hopefully by next week I'll have the amp ordered. Still debating on the AQ1200D or AP15001d (tight on $$)...leaning more on the AQ.

Also got the Knu 4awg Fleks kit. Installed it last week, it's just waiting to be used. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif Should be a nice budget setup.

If I'm not busy I'll do a build log up on the build section.

I'm sure these subs were well worth the wait. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/cool.gif.3bcaf8f141236c00f8044d07150e34f7.gif

Yes the subs are in my eyes the best budget subs Ive ever used, and Ive used ALOT of diferent brands, I ended up grabbing a couple more and throwing them in a wall.

How big is your box gonna be? Hopefully 7+

Also, your wiring is gonna get HOT, 4 gauge for 1200+ is not a good idea

Yea, the box is gonna be a little over 8cu @ 38Hz. Measured it and it's a snug fit, but made sure there was at least a good 6" from port to trunk.

As far as the wiring goes, I've seen and read a few builds where people ran the 1200D with 4 gauge & 120amp fuse, and DJ recommended it as well. But yea, I see where you're coming from though.

If the biggest amp you are going to run is the 1200 you can get by with 4 gauge BUT if you plan to upgrade or also run a 4 channel I recommend running 0 gauge to a distro block and 4 gauge from the block to the amp.

Well being as Ive had them for 2 years + now

No, they wont take 1200+ daily. They get smelly off of 800ish a piece after 6-8minutes in my install. Burps, sure maybe, but not daily. Aq makes a great product, but dont assume because they rate for 600rms, that they can automatically take 1200...

Yea, the 1200 will be the biggest I'm going to run, so it should get me by. I don't see myself upgrading anytime in the future. But if I do happen to, I can always do that, it won't be a problem.

Does anyone have a video of the flexibility of the KnuKonceptz 0awg KLMX. I was planning on running 4 awg for AQ1200D + 4chan 360watts. But I guess that'd be pushing it?

I personally think 1200+ rms is to much for anything more than a 10 foot run of 4gauge, so to me yeah youre over pushin it. But Im sure theres some cheapos out there that have done it, theres also a good ammount of people that have had meltodwns and fire....

A 2 gauge kit is what $20 more? You spent $500 + on subs n amps, whats $20 for protection and overhead room
