Appropriate power wire size for 400w's

What does everyone suggest for the size of the power wire and ground wire for a 400w MB Quart amp?

4ga is plenty.

4 gauge wouldn't hurt but you could get away with 8 gauge, depending on how long the run needs to be

Have got to cover about a 3 ft distances from the amp to the battery.

What ive got what will then.

What size inline fuse should i run with this?

40a fuse, use a 50a fuse if you want to extra safe

Id do 4ga and a 50amp fuse

if you plan on ever upgrading to more power, you might want to just run 1/0. just saying.
