Appropriate LPF and infrasonic levels for 8" sub

Im using a 8" w3v3 in a ported enclosure. I believe the enclosure is tuned for 34hz. I set my infrasonic filter to 30 hz, this is because I do not want the sub playing frequencies below the box tuning correct?

What should I set the LPF at to optimize the sub? Is it dangerous to set the low pass above 100hz?

Set the LPF however it sounds best. You could set it at 20,000 Hz if the amp went that high and it wouldn't hurt the sub. Your infrasonic filter setting is fine.
