Apple Cinnamon Moonshine

I have family Missouri that dabbles in the moonshine thing..... We go down every Christmas and get 10 big jugs of it. It lasts pretty much all year but the apple pie is my favorite!! I have a little recipe with that is a very close to what they make.

I know where there is a still about a 5 minute walk from my back door... was actually thinking today I needed some apple pie shine and cinnamon sticks to really get Xmas going.. the family loves getting toasted and going out back with shotguns to blow shit away... Thats the south for you!

The real stuff usually looks like this! Also for the flavored ones I've only seen the chick versions where they lower it from 190 proof to like 110.

When I was in Cali, my neighbor got his hands on some "Indian Moonshine" not the native american but india indians. Bartered for it at a mini-mart. Idk what it was made of but definitely could knock you out. Had a smokey licorice flavor (to me at least), not something for the faint of heart.

Haven't had any good real moonshine. Want to try some though, that apple pie stuff sounds awesome.

just had some of that ol' white lightning last week. Gotta love the south, can have shine in hand with-in a days notice most of the time and price isnt too bad.. the sour apple i bought last week was said to be 130 proof. it'll put hair on yo chest and burn it off at the same time!

the flavor did help keep the bite down a little. had some cherry-vanilla a few weeks back, nasty but after 2 shots i couldnt taste it anyway lol.. and see i wasnt gonna touch it this weekend but now the talk makes me crave it.. making call a call on lunch break!

clearly, its watered down due to the additives to give it flavor (IE cider, apple juice, etc.). Lightning is nice to have around for a REAL quick buzz, but flavored shine is great for a glass full (may be stereotypical but I get my shine in gallons, and drink out of pint mason jars..)

While I was overseas we had a soldier buy some shine from a local and was sent to the infirmary for a week.. Im not going to pretend to know how they make their stuff over there, but I do know how ever it is, they tend to kill each other off with it frequently. Lol, Ill stick to the stuff I know.

I dont get it why even waste your time. Its not like I have trouble not getting as drunk as I want 'cause regular booze isnt strong enough. Just drink more.

With that said, we dont get "moonshine" up here nor would I even probably want it but years ago my buddy would make stuff he called apple pie which was just a bottle of Everclear wtih a bunch of cinnamon sticks in it lol it was bomb went down the hatch real easy but lit your whole fuckin chest on fire after you take a pull

What I had didnt light your chest on fire but got you tippsy quick. I'm not one to drink a lot on work nights, but I do occasionally light to get right a little quicker than downing a bottle.

I still find it sad that popcorn sutton had to die (or die in prison) in order for his moonshine to legally be placed in liquor stores.. its pretty F'd up

Had some from someone that brought some the finals in Cali and watchin moonshiners I want some. Anyone got any "connections" for some real moonshine? I know ya'll in SC, Tenn and W. VA know

My papaw actually lived less than a mile from him in Grassy Fork... They were good friends.
