Hi, i'm in the buying for a headunit and right now used is what i'm looking for and 2 people are selling these headunits, The Apline CDA 9851 and 9831 I was just wondering what the difference between the 2 is and which one is better? i've yet to come across decent enough specs to compare the 2 but the pictures look similar minus some button details on the 9851, they look identical but i'm not sure which is the better one

if I can get help that would be greatly appriciated

The 9831 has 4v preouts, along with Bass Engine Plus and a slightly different look. Crutchfield is your friend...

well theres a guy willing to sell me his 9831 for $120 shipped, its a couple years old and it just comes with the deck, harness and antena no box or manual or remote as his mom aparently threw those out. Is that a good deal?

the value being brought down shouldnt matter if you plan to use it...it was not top of line from that year as the 9835 was but it was 3rd down and still a very nice deck. If you really want you can order a remote for it on ebay.

honestly I could careless about the remote, the deck thats in my dads car has one and hell if I ever use it, but the one thing I do like about this deck is the fact that its got tilt features which makes it alot easier to use when driving so you're not face on you're looking down at it which allows you to drive safer.

$120...how much was this brand new when it came out? cause I want to make sure i'm getting a good deal here cause i'm about to give the guy money for it
