I would run a single run of 4 gauge with a 100 amp fuse. I would also use 8 gauge for the ground.
dear god. please refrain from giving advice like that. you're recommending a fire hazard. ground should ALWAYS be the same size or larger than power wire. Current in DC electricity "flows" from negative to positive. grounds are as important as power wire (if not more important since they rely on the chassis for conductivity).

4awg and 100A fuse are good for 1000W. if he want's more than that (and he does), he should have 1/0 wire.

 
sure, it's funny giving horrible advice until a kid reads that then does it and the resulting fire kills him and his passengers as the trunk ignites while he's driving.

it's a fire hazard. i don't find anything funny about it nor do i see the need for it. i would delete that post if i could.
