Ok, my buddy has a peripheral adaptor hooked up in his car, and the headunit is being swapped out at a shop right now for a single din Eclipse cd3000, and I was wondering, he wants to buy my component set (edi 6500s), but if I install my ED Nine.2 in his car and take out his front bose speakers and tweeters and replace them with the Nine.2-powered-components and leave in the rear speakers, how will this work? Like I'm pretty sure the Peripheral takes care of the Bose system with an aftermarket headunit, but if we unplug his front speakers and tweeters and hook the speakers to the Nine.2 then run the RCA's to the Front RCA output on the HU, how will the Bose system be affected?

Willi it send more power to the rear speakers since the fronts and tweets were removed? Will it stop working? Will it malfunction?

Need some advice BEFORE I do it this time lol..

WAIT! Still have a question...

The peripheral wiring harness' front speaker (brown wires) wires are spliced into the HU (allowing the front bose speakers to play obviously lol)..

SOOO..

When we go to install the front components, should we unsplice these wires and just connect the Nine.2's rca's to the front preout on the HU or leave them spliced? Even though the brown wires won't be sending sound to the Bose speakers (since they won't be there lol), the headunit CAN'T use the front speaker wires on it's harness AND the front preouts at the same time can it?

Just wondering if I can just leave the brown front speaker wires connected to the peripheral harness.. thanks!

I'd cut them and tape the HU ends just so theres no chance of shorting the HU amp. Since they arnt being used (I picture speakers wires hanging in door or dash and swinging widly arround sparking as they touch each other...)
